‘Parent Space’ is a pilot workshop series for all parents, carers and early years educators of children. It’s open to anyone from the wider Easton community, not just families who have registered with us.
We wanted to respond to parent requests - to help support families to thrive. There will be six workshops, alternating between Saturday mornings and Monday evenings over the next six months, starting on 6 July 2019.
The series of workshops intends to:
build confidence and an understanding of child development
provide a space to reflect on the joys and challenges of becoming a parent
help to create a child-centred and consistent environment in which all our children can thrive
remind us to look after ourselves along the way too …
Please note: so that you can get the most out of them, these workshops are child-free spaces so please make your own arrangements for childcare.
Parent Space Workshops are generously supported by Quartet Community Foundation

We will be exploring how to bring full awareness to challenging situations and find wise solutions.

What’s behind human behaviours?

Phases of Development
What are normal phases of development?
How do we know what is appropriate for each phase?
We will be exploring how to help our children to manage transitions, as well as understanding the similarities and differences between phases and why our children go backwards as well as forwards in their development.
You can come to the whole series or you can pick and choose the workshops that are most interesting to you.
The workshops will take place at Raised in Easton nursery.
The workshops will be on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings – please check the details when you book. Each workshop includes refreshments and some time to chat.
The workshops are offered free on a first come, first served basis.
You need to register for each workshop you want to come to and pay a returnable deposit of £5 per workshop. You can register below.
As we expect to have a waiting list, we ask that you let us know (with at least 24 hours’ notice) if you can’t attend a workshop that you’ve registered to come to. We can then offer it to someone on the waiting list. If you don’t let us know, your £5 deposit for that workshop will be forfeited.
