Raised in Bristol is opening a brand new nursery - Raised in St Pauls - on 2 January 2020. 

This presents an amazing opportunity for a competent manager or an experienced deputy manager to be part of creating a brand new Raised in Bristol nursery.

This job role is a full time position, 40 hours per week, with an annual salary £23,330 – £31,000 depending on experience, ambition and availability.

If you are the right candidate, you will begin your journey as Deputy Manager working closely with Nicola our Raised in Bristol Head of Nursery, to ensure the new nursery is following Raised in Bristol’s ethos and brand values as it grows. This role will then develop into the nursery Manager role for Raised in St Pauls.

We are looking for a manager who is passionate about early years education and understands the importance of providing an environment for children to play  One that is fun filled and with opportunities that spark curiosity, to be imaginative and creative. 

You should have an excellent knowledge of statutory requirements, legislation and how these can be effectively implemented within an early years setting. It is essential that you have a strong knowledge and understanding of the management and leadership qualities needed to ensure that there is continuous staff monitoring and motivation of the nursery team.  

You will need to have a relevant early years qualification at a minimum of level 3 plus at least 3 years managerial experience. You are required to have an excellent knowledge of safeguarding and hold a paediatric first aid certificate.

Overview:

  • Full time 40 hours per week: option to work 4 x 10hr days (8am-6pm) with one day off, or Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

We are also building our bank of early years practitioners to provide additional childcare support on an ad-hoc flexible basis. This means we are better able to cover staff training and holidays, and prepared for unforeseen events such as sickness or compassionate leave. 

THE ROLE

Early years practitioners play a vital role in ensuring all our children are meeting their personal developmental goals, and achieving the highest possible standard of learning.  We are looking for someone with a minimum of Level 2 in an appropriate qualification, who can bring a positive attitude and a personable manner to all their dealings with both children and parents.

Hourly rate: £10.07 (including holiday entitlement)        

Hours: Flexible between 8am and 6pm Monday - Friday
